📌 Key Responsibilities

• Teach classical and folk dance forms including Bharatanatyam, folk dances, and western styles to school students.
• Conduct structured dance classes covering fundamental steps, mudras, expressions, and rhythm training.
• Choreograph and train students for Annual Day performances, cultural programmes, and inter-school competitions.
• Coordinate with Music teacher and event team for integrated cultural programme planning and rehearsals.
• Develop age-appropriate dance lesson plans covering both technical skill building and creative expression.
• Organise inter-class dance competitions and cultural festivals showcasing student talent across dance forms.
• Assess student dance progress through performance evaluations, recitals, and annual day participation.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Western Dance, or other recognised dance form is required.
• Natya Visharad or equivalent classical dance examination certification from a recognised institution is accepted.
• Experience teaching dance to school students or children's groups is strongly preferred.
• Ability to choreograph group performances for school events and cultural presentations is essential.
• Knowledge of classical dance theory, Abhinaya, and Nritta elements is required for Bharatanatyam instruction.
• Willingness to handle western dance or folk dance in addition to classical form is an advantage.
• Basic music awareness and rhythmic sense for coordinating dance with live or recorded musical accompaniment.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
