📌 Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor environment, health, and safety programmes across the cement or building materials plant
• Conduct daily safety inspections, work permit verifications, and PPE compliance checks on the plant floor
• Monitor dust emission levels, bag filter performance, and ambient dust concentrations for TNPCB compliance
• Assist in risk assessments, job safety analyses, and toolbox talk preparation for plant activities
• Investigate near-miss events, incidents, and accidents to identify root causes and corrective actions
• Maintain ISO 45001 documentation, records, and audit readiness for the plant EHS management system
• Organise and conduct employee safety training, first aid drills, and emergency mock evacuation exercises

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. or Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, or Safety Engineering or a recognised safety diploma such as NEBOSH or IOSH
• 0-4 years of EHS experience in a cement, building materials, or process industry plant
• Knowledge of dust control systems, fire hazard management, and emergency response in a cement or mineral processing plant
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 occupational health and safety and ISO 14001 environmental management systems
• Understanding of the Factories Act, Environment Protection Act, and Tamil Nadu Factories Rules for plant compliance
• Experience with work permit systems, LOTO procedures, and height safety protocols for plant and storage facilities
• Good observation and communication skills for conducting safety inspections and reporting to plant management
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
