📌 Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including all clinical, academic, and administrative operations
• Perform and supervise advanced oral surgical procedures including orthognathic surgery, facial trauma management, and reconstructive procedures
• Oversee the MDS Oral Surgery programme, including case log compliance, dissertation supervision, and postgraduate assessments
• Manage the surgical OPD, theatre scheduling, and inter-departmental referral coordination
• Mentor faculty and build departmental research output through publications and conference activities
• Serve as external examiner for oral surgery in affiliated dental colleges
• Prepare departmental documentation for DCI inspections and institutional accreditation processes

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• MDS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from a DCI-recognised institution
• DCI registration with professor-level eligibility - minimum 10 years post-MDS teaching experience
• Advanced surgical expertise in major OMS procedures and trauma management
• Strong research publication record in oral surgery or related fields
• Experience guiding MDS dissertation research to completion
• Proven departmental leadership and faculty management experience
• Ability to manage a high-volume surgical OPD and teaching theatre environment
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
