📌 Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Principal in managing all academic, clinical, and administrative affairs of the dental college
• Oversee academic scheduling, timetable coordination, and inter-departmental academic planning
• Monitor and ensure DCI compliance across all departments including faculty strength, infrastructure, and case load norms
• Lead student welfare committees and address student grievances and disciplinary matters
• Coordinate preparation for DCI inspections, university affiliation renewals, and accreditation processes
• Represent the institution at academic events, university meetings, and DCI interactions in the Principal's absence
• Support institutional research governance and contribute to the college's research publication output

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• MDS from a DCI-recognised institution in any specialty
• 14 to 25 years of post-MDS experience in DCI-affiliated dental college academics
• Previous experience as HOD, Dean of Studies, or in an equivalent senior leadership role
• DCI registration and professor-level teaching eligibility
• Deep knowledge of DCI regulations, Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University affiliation norms, and fee regulations
• Strong record in faculty management, conflict resolution, and institutional governance
• Research publications and a history of university examination responsibilities
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
