📌 Key Responsibilities

• Lead banking operations across multiple clusters and a large number of branches within the designated area.
• Drive area-level business targets including CASA, advances, fee income, and profitability with accountability to regional management.
• Develop and execute the area's business strategy aligned with the bank's national growth priorities.
• Build and maintain relationships with large corporates, government bodies, and institutional customers in the area.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across all branches in the area and liaise with RBI regional offices for examination purposes.
• Recruit, develop, and appraise cluster managers and senior branch managers within the area.
• Represent the bank at area-level industry bodies, business forums, and public stakeholder engagements.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• MBA from a premier institution; CA, CFA, or additional qualifications are a strong advantage.
• Twelve to twenty-two years of banking experience with five or more years in area or regional management.
• Strong track record of P&L ownership and business growth across large banking geographies.
• Demonstrated experience managing and developing senior banking professionals including cluster managers.
• Excellent relationship management skills for corporate, government, and institutional banking segments.
• Strategic planning capability with the ability to develop and execute multi-year area business plans.
• Strong regulatory understanding and experience navigating RBI inspections and compliance management.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
