📌 Key Responsibilities

• Accept and process customer cash deposits, withdrawals, and cheque encashments accurately at the teller counter.
• Verify currency notes for authenticity using UV detectors and other tools before accepting or disbursing cash.
• Process all transactions through the core banking system and ensure correct account postings.
• Balance the teller cash drawer at the start and end of every shift and report any discrepancies to the branch officer.
• Issue demand drafts, pay orders, and other instruments as requested by customers.
• Handle bulk cash transactions for business customers and coordinate with the vault officer for large withdrawals.
• Provide first-level customer service, answer routine queries, and direct customers to appropriate bank staff.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate in any stream from a recognised university.
• Basic computer proficiency including MS Excel and data entry skills.
• Strong numerical aptitude and accuracy in cash counting.
• Good communication skills in Tamil and English.
• Ability to handle a high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in cash handling, retail billing, or any customer-facing role is an advantage.
• Freshers with good academic records and aptitude for banking operations are also considered.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
