📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for Assistant Professor - EEE positions in Chennai private engineering colleges. This role is with an AICTE-approved self-financing engineering college affiliated to Anna University or another recognized technical university, offering a structured academic career with NBA accreditation support and faculty development programmes.

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Teach B.E./B.Tech EEE core subjects: Electric Circuits, Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Power Electronics, and Control Engineering
• Conduct laboratory sessions for Electrical Machines, Power Systems Simulation, Power Electronics, and Drives labs
• Teach renewable energy systems, smart grid technologies, PLC programming, and SCADA systems as electives
• Guide students in power system protection, motor control, and energy audit projects
• Prepare OBE documentation including course files, CO-PO mapping, and attainment for NBA criteria
• Participate in Smart Grid, Power Electronics, and Renewable Energy Faculty Development Programmes
• Contribute to NBA accreditation documentation for EEE department criteria

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• M.E. or M.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Power Electronics, or Drives and Control from a recognized institution
• Ph.D. in Power Systems, Power Electronics, Smart Grid, or Renewable Energy preferred for senior roles
• 0 - 6 Years of EEE teaching experience or power sector industry experience
• Strong knowledge of Electrical Machines, Power Systems Analysis, Power Electronics converters, and Control Systems
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for power system and drives simulation; ETAP or PSS/E knowledge preferred
• Familiarity with PLC (Siemens S7, Allen Bradley) and SCADA systems for industrial control lab
• GATE qualification in EE (EE paper) is valued at research-active institutions
