📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for Associate Professor positions in Chennai private engineering colleges. This role is with an AICTE-approved self-financing engineering college affiliated to Anna University or another recognized technical university, offering a structured academic career with NBA accreditation support and faculty development programmes.

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Teach advanced undergraduate and postgraduate engineering courses with depth, current research perspective, and industry relevance
• Guide M.E./M.Tech and PhD research scholars in thesis work, publications, and viva preparation
• Publish research in SCI, Scopus, and peer-reviewed journals in the engineering field and contribute to funded research projects
• Serve on departmental committees: Board of Studies, Research, NBA Self-Study, and Examination committees
• Contribute significantly to NBA Self-Study Report (SAR) preparation and accreditation visit coordination
• Mentor Assistant Professors in teaching quality, OBE documentation, and research publication processes
• Build industry partnerships for sponsored projects, internships, and collaborative research with Chennai's engineering sector

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Ph.D. in relevant engineering or applied science subject mandatory
• 8 - 16 Years of engineering college teaching experience as per UGC/AICTE Associate Professor eligibility criteria
• Research publication record in SCI/Scopus-indexed journals with citations
• At least one externally funded research project from DST, DST-SERB, DRDO, CSIR, or similar funding bodies preferred
• Experience supervising M.E./M.Tech dissertations and PhD research scholars
• Strong NBA/NAAC documentation knowledge including SAR preparation and OBE attainment analysis
• GATE qualification or UGC NET in relevant field preferred
