📌 Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall medical leadership and clinical governance for all veterinary services at the hospital
• Develop and enforce clinical protocols, treatment standards, and patient safety guidelines
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of all veterinary medical staff
• Conduct case reviews, clinical audits, and outcome analyses to maintain and improve service quality
• Represent the medical team in strategic planning, budget discussions, and hospital board communications
• Build and maintain a specialist referral network across the region for complex case management
• Mentor senior veterinarians and specialists and drive continuing medical education programmes within the hospital

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• BVSc. and AH; MVSc. or post-graduate specialist qualification strongly preferred
• Minimum twelve years of clinical veterinary practice with at least five years in a senior leadership or medical director role
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-specialty veterinary hospital operations and a diverse clinical team
• Deep knowledge of veterinary clinical governance, drug regulatory compliance, and patient safety standards
• Strong strategic planning skills and ability to participate in hospital business decisions
• Excellent interpersonal skills for stakeholder management including hospital ownership, regulatory bodies, and referring veterinarians
• Membership of professional veterinary bodies and active participation in veterinary conferences is an advantage
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
