📌 Key Responsibilities

• Build, evaluate, and deploy supervised and unsupervised machine learning models to solve business prediction and classification problems
• Perform exploratory data analysis and statistical hypothesis testing to uncover actionable patterns in complex data sets
• Engineer features from raw data using domain knowledge and statistical techniques to improve model performance
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define analytical problem statements and translate them into ML solutions
• Validate model performance using cross-validation, A/B testing, and business KPI alignment metrics
• Prepare model documentation, experimental logs, and insight summaries for technical and non-technical audiences
• Work with data engineers to productionise models and integrate predictions into business workflows or dashboards

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• M.Sc. Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science, or B.E. with demonstrated ML project experience
• Strong Python programming with proficiency in pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and data visualisation libraries
• Solid understanding of statistical modelling including regression, classification, clustering, and time series analysis
• Experience building and evaluating ML models across different problem types with documented results
• Familiarity with SQL for data extraction and preparation before modelling workflows
• Good understanding of model evaluation metrics and methods to avoid overfitting and data leakage
• Strong communication skills to explain model outputs and assumptions to non-technical stakeholders
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
