📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for Dean (Academics) positions in Chennai private engineering colleges. This role is with an AICTE-approved self-financing engineering college affiliated to Anna University or another recognized technical university, offering a structured academic career with NBA accreditation support and faculty development programmes.

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Lead the college's overall academic policy, curriculum strategy, and teaching-learning quality across all departments
• Coordinate college-level NAAC, NBA, and NIRF ranking processes and lead self-study documentation committees
• Manage Anna University affiliation compliance and, for autonomous colleges, lead Board of Studies and Academic Council operations
• Oversee academic calendar, examination schedule, OBE implementation, and graduation outcome monitoring
• Lead IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) activities, conduct internal academic audits, and report to management
• Develop faculty welfare policies, recruitment criteria, and academic performance review processes
• Build strategic partnerships with IITs, NITs, research institutions, and industry for institutional academic elevation

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Ph.D. with extensive teaching, research, and administrative experience at HOD or Professor level
• 15 - 28 Years of progressive engineering college academic experience
• Deep knowledge of Anna University affiliation, AICTE norms, UGC regulations, and accreditation (NAAC/NBA) processes
• Proven ability to lead institution-wide academic transformation, OBE implementation, and quality improvement
• Strong research credentials: publications, funded projects, and PhD guidance track record
• Excellent leadership and communication skills for managing large faculty teams and regulatory relationships
• Experience leading autonomous college Board of Studies or Academic Council is highly preferred
