📌 Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the pharmacology laboratory including animal care facilities, surgical instruments, and organ bath equipment used for PCI-mandated practical sessions
• Prepare drug solutions, standard doses, and reagents required for pharmacology experiments on isolated tissue and in-vivo models
• Assist faculty during practical demonstrations of pharmacology experiments: dose-response curves, anticonvulsant screening, analgesic testing, and anti-inflammatory studies
• Maintain animal lab compliance with Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA) guidelines
• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments, maintain organ baths, and calibrate kymograph and computerized data acquisition systems
• Maintain records of animal usage, drug consumption, experiment logs, and CPCSEA compliance documentation
• Ensure laboratory safety including proper chemical storage, sharps disposal, and biohazard waste management

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.Pharm or B.Sc. in Zoology, Life Sciences, or related field with pharmacology lab experience
• 0 - 3 Years of pharmacology or animal laboratory experience; freshers with relevant skills considered
• Knowledge of pharmacology experimental models: isolated tissue preparation, in-vivo models, and dose-response techniques
• Familiarity with CPCSEA guidelines for laboratory animal care and use in research and education
• Ability to prepare accurate drug solutions, dilutions, and standard dose preparations
• Proficiency in operating organ baths, kymographs, and computerized pharmacology recording systems
• Compassionate and responsible approach to laboratory animal handling and welfare
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
