📌 Key Responsibilities

• Classify and catalogue pharmacy textbooks, reference books, and allied health science materials using Dewey Decimal Classification
• Manage KOHA library management software for book issue, return, renewal, and OPAC maintenance for pharmacy students and faculty
• Handle INFLIBNET N-LIST e-resource access and PubMed subscription management for faculty research support
• Maintain subscriptions to pharmacy journals including Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Journal of Pharmacy Research, and international publications
• Conduct periodic stock verification, book weeding, and library maintenance for PCI inspection readiness
• Assist students with literature search and Shodhganga access for M.Pharm dissertation and research projects
• Support anti-plagiarism checking of student M.Pharm dissertations using iThenticate or Unicheck tools

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.Lib.Sc. or B.Lib.I.Sc. from a recognized institution; M.Lib. preferred
• 0 - 3 Years of library experience in a pharmacy, medical, or science institution
• Proficiency in KOHA Library Management System for circulation and OPAC management
• Familiarity with pharmacy and pharmaceutical science databases: PubMed, SciFinder, ScienceDirect, and INFLIBNET N-LIST
• Knowledge of Dewey Decimal Classification for pharmacy and pharmaceutical science subjects
• Good computer proficiency and communication skills for student and faculty support
• Awareness of PCI library norms for pharmacy colleges regarding book count, journal subscriptions, and digital access
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
