• Visit material showrooms and vendor warehouses to collect samples, catalogues, and price quotations for active projects.
• Prepare comparative quotation sheets for material alternatives and present cost-effective options to senior designers.
• Process purchase orders for approved materials and coordinate timely delivery to project sites.
• Maintain an organized sample library and vendor contact database for quick reference during design development.
• Coordinate with vendors for custom material orders, special colour matches, and imported product procurement.
• Track material delivery schedules and flag delays to project managers to avoid site execution holdups.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate in any discipline with 0 to 3 years of interior material sourcing or procurement experience.
• Familiarity with Chennai's interior material market including tiles, laminates, hardware, lighting, and soft furnishing vendors.
• Good negotiation and vendor relationship management skills for pricing and timely delivery coordination.
• Ability to read design specifications and identify appropriate materials matching designer intent and budget.
• Proficiency in MS Excel for maintaining purchase tracking sheets, vendor comparisons, and delivery logs.
• Willingness to travel across Chennai to visit material showrooms and vendor warehouses regularly.
• Good organizational skills for managing material samples, catalogues, and vendor documentation for multiple projects.
