📌 Key Responsibilities

• Develop, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models that power intelligent features within the company's software product.
• Build robust feature engineering pipelines that transform raw product data into model-ready inputs.
• Implement MLOps practices using platforms such as MLflow, Kubeflow, or SageMaker to manage model versioning, experiment tracking, and production deployments.
• Serve trained ML models via FastAPI or gRPC endpoints integrated into the product backend, optimising latency and throughput.
• Monitor deployed models for data drift, performance degradation, and fairness issues, triggering retraining pipelines as needed.
• Collaborate with data scientists to operationalise research models, improving reliability, scalability, and inference speed for production use.
• Work with product managers and backend engineers to identify ML-powered feature opportunities and define success metrics aligned with product goals.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E./M.Tech in Computer Science or M.Sc. in Data Science or Statistics with two to seven years of ML engineering experience.
• Strong Python programming skills with proficiency in NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and at least one deep learning framework: TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Hands-on experience training and evaluating supervised, unsupervised, and time-series ML models on real datasets.
• Experience productionising ML models using REST APIs, batch inference pipelines, or embedded model serving approaches.
• Familiarity with MLOps principles and tools including experiment tracking (MLflow), model registry, and automated retraining pipelines.
• Solid understanding of cloud ML platforms such as AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, or Azure ML.
• Ability to communicate model performance, trade-offs, and business implications clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
