📌 Key Responsibilities

• Teach Music to students from pre-primary through Class 10 covering vocal training and music appreciation.
• Conduct Carnatic music lessons including swara, raga, and keerthanam instruction for culturally relevant learning.
• Introduce western music theory, notation, rhythm patterns, and basic instrument skills where curriculum demands.
• Train the school choir and prepare students for annual day performances, cultural programmes, and competitions.
• Organise and conduct music concerts, classical music appreciation days, and inter-school music events.
• Teach students to play basic instruments such as keyboard, guitar, or tabla as part of the school music programme.
• Assess student musical progress through performance evaluations, recitals, and participation in school events.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Carnatic Music, Western Music, or Hindustani Music from a recognised institution is required.
• Sangita Bhushana, Sangita Vidwan, or equivalent classical music examination certifications are accepted.
• Experience in a school music programme or children's music coaching environment is preferred.
• Ability to teach both vocal and basic instrumental music to students across age groups.
• Knowledge of music notation, sargam, and basic theory to teach structured curriculum content.
• Willingness to train school choir groups, assembly singing, and performance groups for school events.
• A second musical skill such as keyboard, guitar, or folk percussion is an advantage for this role.
