📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for Network Administrator positions in Chennai private engineering colleges. This role is with an AICTE-approved self-financing engineering college affiliated to Anna University or another recognized technical university, offering a structured academic career with NBA accreditation support and faculty development programmes.

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain the campus-wide LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi network infrastructure for internet access and internal communication
• Manage network switches, routers, firewalls, and access points and ensure high availability of campus network
• Administer Active Directory, email server, ERP systems, and campus management application servers
• Monitor network traffic, bandwidth utilization, and cybersecurity threats using monitoring tools
• Manage CCTV surveillance, biometric attendance systems, and digital access control across campus
• Coordinate with ISP for internet bandwidth upgrades, leased line management, and downtime resolution
• Maintain IT asset inventory, software licenses, and coordinate annual maintenance contracts with vendors

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• BCA, B.Sc. Computer Science, B.E. CSE, or equivalent with 2-7 years of network administration experience
• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or MCSA/MCSE certification strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN design, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, and firewall configuration
• Experience managing Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange or Google Workspace, and ERP systems
• Hands-on experience with Cisco or equivalent enterprise switches, routers, and Ruckus/Cisco Wi-Fi controllers
• Knowledge of cybersecurity practices, antivirus management, and network monitoring tools
• Ability to work under pressure during network outages and support academic operations with minimum downtime
