📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for Physical Education Director positions in Chennai private engineering colleges. This role is with an AICTE-approved self-financing engineering college affiliated to Anna University or another recognized technical university, offering a structured academic career with NBA accreditation support and faculty development programmes.

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the annual sports calendar for the engineering college including inter-department tournaments and Anna University inter-collegiate meets
• Conduct daily physical education classes, fitness training, and yoga sessions for all engineering students
• Manage sports infrastructure including cricket ground, volleyball and basketball courts, indoor sports hall, and gym
• Coach and train student athletes for Anna University zone and inter-zone sports championships
• Supervise sports coaches and coordinate with NCC, NSS, and YRC wings on physical activities
• Organize the college annual sports day, athletic meet, and adventure sports activities
• Maintain sports achievement records for NAAC, NIRF ranking, and university sports committee submissions

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• M.P.Ed. (Master of Physical Education) or M.P.E. from a recognized university
• UGC NET / SET for Physical Education preferred for NAAC-accredited institutions
• 3 - 10 Years of physical education experience in an engineering college or university
• Experience organizing Anna University inter-collegiate sports events is a strong advantage
• Sports achievement at national, state, or university level preferred
• NSNIS Diploma in Coaching or NIS sports science certification preferred
• Strong administrative skills for managing sports department budget, facilities, and student sports records
