📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for Performance Test Engineer positions at Chennai IT companies. This role is based along the OMR IT Corridor and surrounding technology parks. You will join a dynamic IT team working on real-world projects with opportunities for growth and skill development.

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute load, stress, spike, and soak tests using JMeter or Gatling
• Analyze performance test results and identify throughput and latency bottlenecks
• Profile application performance using APM tools (Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics)
• Collaborate with developers to resolve performance issues before production
• Set performance benchmarks and SLAs for APIs, web pages, and database queries
• Create parameterized test scripts with realistic user think times and data sets
• Write performance test reports with root cause analysis and remediation recommendations

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 3 - 6 Years of performance testing experience
• Proficiency in JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner for test script development
• Experience with APM tools for performance monitoring and bottleneck analysis
• Knowledge of web technologies (HTTP, TCP, database) for realistic scenario design
• Ability to analyze thread dumps, heap dumps, and GC logs
• Understanding of Linux server monitoring (CPU, memory, I/O, network)
