📌 Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct engaging age-appropriate learning activities for children aged 3 to 6 years using play-based and Montessori methods.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment that supports early childhood development milestones.
• Assess each child's developmental progress and maintain detailed records for parent-teacher meetings.
• Introduce basic literacy and numeracy concepts through stories, rhymes, games, and structured activities.
• Communicate regularly with parents to share progress updates and reinforce home-school learning partnerships.
• Supervise children during playtime, meal breaks, and transitions ensuring physical safety at all times.
• Collaborate with co-teachers and support staff to plan themed events, excursions, and school programmes.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.Ed. in Early Childhood Education or a recognized Montessori AMI/AMS certification is preferred.
• D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) is accepted as an equivalent qualification.
• Any undergraduate degree combined with a Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) certificate may be considered.
• Prior experience in a play school or pre-primary classroom setting is an advantage though not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of child psychology and developmental stages is expected.
• Good communication skills in English and Tamil for effective parent interaction.
• Proficiency in music, craft, or storytelling is an added advantage for pre-primary roles.
