📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for Principal / Director positions in Chennai private engineering colleges. This role is with an AICTE-approved self-financing engineering college affiliated to Anna University or another recognized technical university, offering a structured academic career with NBA accreditation support and faculty development programmes.

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the engineering college across all academic, administrative, and financial functions
• Lead NAAC and NBA accreditation cycles including Self-Study Report preparation and peer team visit coordination
• Manage AICTE compliance, Anna University affiliation renewals, programme additions, and intake enhancements
• Build and maintain faculty team quality through strategic recruitment, performance management, and faculty development investment
• Represent the college before regulatory bodies, management, industry partners, alumni, and the broader academic community
• Oversee college budget, infrastructure development, hostel, campus maintenance, and resource mobilization
• Drive student outcome improvement: academic performance, placement statistics, research output, and entrepreneurship ecosystem

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Ph.D. with at least 18 years of progressive academic and administrative experience
• Prior service as Dean, HOD, or in a senior leadership role at an accredited engineering college mandatory
• Proven track record in NAAC/NBA accreditation, institution building, and faculty leadership
• Strong knowledge of AICTE regulations, Anna University affiliation norms, and UGC guidelines
• Excellent leadership, communication, and public representation skills
• Demonstrated research credentials and contribution to the field
• Commitment to ethical governance, student welfare, and inclusive institutional culture
