📌 Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Pharmacology department including faculty management, curriculum planning, laboratory oversight, CPCSEA compliance, and PCI recognition preparation
• Teach advanced M.Pharm and Ph.D.-level Pharmacology including molecular pharmacology, clinical pharmacology, and translational drug discovery
• Supervise Ph.D. and M.Pharm research scholars in pharmacology and toxicology research from experimental design through completion and publication
• Publish pharmacology research in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and apply for ICMR, DBT, CSIR, and DST research grants
• Chair the departmental Board of Studies and coordinate curriculum updates for pharmacology
• Oversee the department's CPCSEA-registered animal laboratory including IAEC compliance, annual reports, and regulatory correspondence
• Build collaborations with pharmaceutical companies and research institutions for funded pharmacology and drug safety research

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Ph.D. in Pharmacology from a recognized university; strong preference for candidates with active research publications
• 10 - 20 Years of pharmacy college teaching experience with at least 5 years in a senior faculty or department head role
• Extensive research publication record in peer-reviewed pharmacology journals
• Proven track record of supervising Ph.D. and M.Pharm dissertation students
• In-depth knowledge of CPCSEA regulations, IAEC management, and pharmacology department PCI compliance
• Leadership skills for managing faculty, maintaining lab standards, and guiding junior researchers
• National standing in pharmacology through grant funding, conference presentations, or professional society roles
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
