📌 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety inspections of the warehouse floor, docks, racking systems, forklift zones, and fire safety equipment to identify and mitigate hazards
• Manage fire safety compliance including fire extinguisher inspections, sprinkler system checks, emergency exit clearance, and monthly fire drill schedules
• Perform hazard identification and risk assessment for all warehouse activities including forklift operation, dock loading, and bulk stacking
• Investigate workplace accidents, near-miss incidents, and unsafe condition reports and prepare root cause analysis and corrective action reports
• Deliver safety induction training for new joiners and periodic refresher safety training for all warehouse staff and contract workers
• Monitor PPE usage compliance across all warehouse zones and escalate non-compliance to supervisors and management
• Maintain all EHS documentation including accident registers, fire safety inspection records, and statutory compliance files for factory inspections

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Do you hold a NEBOSH IGC, NEBOSH National, or IOSH Managing Safely certification?
• Have you conducted safety inspections in a warehouse, logistics facility, or industrial plant?
• Are you familiar with forklift and MHE safety standards including aisle clearance and load stability requirements?
• Have you performed a hazard identification and risk assessment for warehouse operations?
• Have you investigated a workplace accident or near-miss and prepared an RCA report?
• Are you familiar with fire safety compliance requirements under the Tamil Nadu Fire Services Act?
• Have you managed statutory compliance files for a warehouse registered under the Factories Act?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
