📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for SOC Analyst positions at Chennai IT companies. This role is based along the OMR IT Corridor and surrounding technology parks. You will join a dynamic IT team working on real-world projects with opportunities for growth and skill development.

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and alerts from SIEM tools (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel)
• Triage and investigate security incidents following defined runbooks
• Analyze network traffic, logs, and endpoint telemetry for malicious activity
• Escalate confirmed incidents to Tier 2/3 analysts or incident response team
• Hunt for threats using MITRE ATT&CK framework TTPs
• Write and tune SIEM detection rules to improve signal quality and reduce false positives
• Document incident timelines, investigation findings, and remediation actions

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech/BCA in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 2 - 5 Years of SOC or cybersecurity operations experience
• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Sentinel, or QRadar)
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence feeds
• Understanding of network protocols, firewall logs, and endpoint security
• CompTIA Security+, CEH, or SC-200 certification preferred
• Ability to work rotational shifts including nights and weekends
