📌 Key Responsibilities

• Identify students with learning disabilities, developmental delays, or special needs through structured assessment.
• Develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEP) for students with special needs in collaboration with class teachers.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support sessions for students with dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum, and other needs.
• Use assistive technology, visual aids, multisensory materials, and adapted resources to support diverse learners.
• Counsel parents on their child's needs, progress, and strategies for home-based support.
• Collaborate with subject teachers to implement accommodation strategies in mainstream classrooms.
• Maintain detailed documentation of student assessments, IEP reviews, and progress reports for school records.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.Ed. Special Education from a recognised institution is the primary qualification required.
• RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) registration is mandatory for Special Educator positions in India.
• Specialisation areas such as Learning Disability, Autism Spectrum, Hearing Impairment, or Visual Impairment are preferred.
• Any undergraduate degree combined with B.Ed. Special Education and RCI registration is acceptable.
• Experience working with children aged 5 to 18 with diverse special needs is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of IEP development, behaviour intervention plans, and assistive technology tools is essential.
