📌 Key Responsibilities

• Operate POS billing terminals to scan garment barcodes accurately and process customer transactions
• Handle cash, credit card, debit card, UPI, and digital wallet payments at fashion retail checkout counters
• Apply correct GST rates on clothing and accessories and issue accurate GST bills to customers
• Process garment exchanges and returns in line with store exchange policy and update system records
• Scan and redeem loyalty points, gift vouchers, and promotional coupons during billing
• Reconcile cash drawer at the start and end of each shift and submit settlement reports to the store accountant
• Manage checkout queues during peak hours and festival rush periods to reduce customer waiting time

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university
• Proficiency in POS billing terminal operation or willingness to undergo in-house billing software training
• Working knowledge of GST applicable to clothing, garments, and fashion accessories
• Accuracy and attention to detail to avoid billing errors and cash handling discrepancies
• Ability to handle customer queries at the checkout counter regarding pricing and exchange policies
• Willingness to work rotational shifts including weekends, public holidays, and festive season extensions
• Prior cashiering experience in a fashion retail or FMCG retail environment is an added advantage
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
