📌 Key Responsibilities

• Design RCC and steel structural elements including slabs, beams, columns, footings, and retaining walls for private construction projects
• Use STAAD Pro, ETABS, or equivalent structural analysis software for frame analysis and member design
• Prepare structural drawings, bar bending schedules, and structural calculation reports for site execution
• Apply IS 456 for RCC design and IS 800 for steel structural design across project types
• Coordinate with architects and MEP engineers to resolve structural conflicts in the building design
• Review contractor shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and bar bending schedules for accuracy and compliance
• Support site engineering team in resolving structural design queries during construction execution

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. Civil Engineering with 1-6 years of structural design experience in a construction company or structural design consultancy
• Proficiency in STAAD Pro, ETABS, or equivalent structural analysis software for RCC and steel structure design
• Sound knowledge of IS 456 for reinforced concrete design and IS 800 for steel structural design
• Experience in designing multi-storey RCC frame buildings, industrial steel structures, or mixed-use construction projects
• Ability to prepare structural drawings, BBS, and structural calculation reports for construction and approval submissions
• Good coordination skills for working with architects, MEP consultants, and site engineers on design integration
• Familiarity with AutoCAD for structural drawing preparation and reviewing consultant-issued structural drawings
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
