📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for Training and Placement Officer positions in Chennai private engineering colleges. This role is with an AICTE-approved self-financing engineering college affiliated to Anna University or another recognized technical university, offering a structured academic career with NBA accreditation support and faculty development programmes.

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain corporate relationships with IT companies, core engineering firms, and manufacturing units for campus recruitment
• Organize on-campus and off-campus recruitment drives for final-year B.E., B.Tech, M.E., and M.Tech students
• Conduct aptitude training, group discussion workshops, technical interview preparation, and mock placement sessions
• Coordinate coding bootcamps, hackathons, and project showcases to improve student technical employability
• Register students on company hiring portals, maintain placement database, and track offer letters and joining confirmation
• Negotiate placement and internship MOUs with companies and ensure adherence to placement ethics
• Prepare annual placement brochure, publish placement statistics, and represent college at placement consortia

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• MBA, B.E./B.Tech, or any postgraduate degree from a recognized university
• 3 - 8 Years of training and placement, corporate HR, or campus recruitment experience
• Strong corporate networking and negotiation skills for company tie-ups across IT and core sectors
• Excellent communication and training delivery skills for aptitude, soft skills, and technical mock sessions
• Experience with placement portals (AMCAT, CoCubes, Mettl) and student tracking systems
• Prior experience as a Training and Placement Officer or Corporate Trainer in an engineering institution preferred
• Willingness to travel extensively for corporate visits, job fairs, and off-campus recruitment events
