- Supervise student clinical postings in medical and surgical wards, ICU, emergency, and OT nursing of affiliated teaching hospitals
- Conduct OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) stations for surgical procedures: wound dressing, drain care, stoma care, and post-operative monitoring
- Guide students in nursing care plan preparation for medical-surgical patients using the nursing process
- Prepare OBE-aligned course materials, internal assessments, and university examination papers for Medical-Surgical Nursing
- Mentor junior tutors in clinical supervision techniques and documentation standards
- Guide final-year B.Sc. Nursing student research projects in medical-surgical nursing speciality
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- M.Sc. Nursing with Medical-Surgical Nursing speciality from an INC-recognized institution
- Active TNMC (Tamil Nadu Nursing and Midwives Council) registration mandatory
- 2 - 8 Years of combined clinical and teaching experience in medical-surgical nursing as per INC norms
- Strong clinical knowledge of systemic diseases, surgical nursing, critical care, and wound management
- Experience supervising students in medical wards, surgical wards, ICU, and emergency department postings
- INC Assistant Professor experience norms: M.Sc. Nursing + minimum 3 years experience
- BLS and ACLS certification preferred; critical care nursing certification an advantage
