📌 Key Responsibilities

• Prepare single line diagrams for LV and HV electrical distribution systems for commercial and industrial projects.
• Perform load schedule preparation, transformer sizing, and DG set sizing for building electrical systems.
• Carry out cable sizing calculations and voltage drop analysis using ETAP or manual calculation methods.
• Design earthing systems and lightning protection in compliance with IS 3043 and IS 2309 standards.
• Prepare lighting design layouts and calculate illuminance levels using DIALux or RELUX software.
• Prepare electrical specifications, BOQ, and comparison statements for procurement of panels, cables, and fittings.
• Review electrical shop drawings and test reports submitted by contractors for compliance with approved design.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution with strong power systems and protection foundation.
• 1 to 5 years of experience in LV and HV electrical system design for commercial or industrial buildings.
• Proficiency in ETAP or similar power systems software for load flow, short circuit, and cable sizing analysis.
• Knowledge of IS 732, NBC Part 8, and IEC 60364 standards for building electrical installations.
• AutoCAD proficiency for preparing electrical layout drawings, SLDs, and panel schematics.
• Familiarity with lighting design tools such as DIALux for office, retail, and industrial lighting layouts.
• Exposure to HT systems above 11kV and substations is an advantage for senior design engineer roles.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
