📌 Key Responsibilities

• Assist in cataloguing and classifying medical books, journals, and resources
• Manage book issue, return, and renewal processes for students and faculty
• Support students and faculty in accessing online medical databases and e-journals
• Maintain library stock registers and assist in annual stock verification
• Manage periodical subscriptions and display of current journals
• Operate library management software and update OPAC records
• Assist the chief librarian in day-to-day library operations and reader services

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.Lib.Sc. or M.Lib.Sc. from a recognised university required
• Prior experience in a medical college or health science library preferred
• Knowledge of library management software and OPAC systems required
• Familiarity with medical databases such as PubMed and online journal platforms preferred
• Ability to assist students and faculty in reference and information retrieval required
• Basic computer skills and MS Office proficiency required
• Fresh library science graduates with relevant project experience eligible
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
