📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for MEP Draftsman (AutoCAD) positions in Coimbatore's private MEP and Infrastructure Company sector. 📌 Key Responsibilities

• Prepare MEP shop drawings and coordination drawings for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire fighting systems using AutoCAD.
• Update and revise drawings based on site condition changes, RFI responses, and consultant review comments.
• Prepare as-built drawings incorporating all site deviations from the original design drawings.
• Coordinate with design engineers and site supervisors to capture mark-ups and incorporate changes accurately.
• Manage drawing registers, revision logs, and document transmittal records for all MEP drawing submissions.
• Plot and print drawings in appropriate scale for site use and submission to the consultant and main contractor.
• Assist senior engineers with Revit MEP clash detection and 3D coordination for complex project areas.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or Graduate in any discipline with AutoCAD training.
• 0 to 3 years of experience in MEP or building services drafting using AutoCAD 2D.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD including layer management, block insertion, dimension styling, and title block standards.
• Ability to read MEP design drawings and translate consultant designs into detailed shop drawing formats.
• Basic understanding of MEP system terminology for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire fighting systems.
• Knowledge of drawing coordination and clash identification across MEP disciplines is an advantage.
• Exposure to Revit MEP or Navisworks for 3D coordination is a strong plus for senior draftsman roles.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
