📌 Key Responsibilities

• Design consumer packaging for FMCG, food and beverage, personal care, and retail product categories based on client briefs and brand guidelines
• Create accurate structural dielines for carton boxes, pouches, labels, and sleeve packaging using Illustrator and supplied die specifications from print vendors
• Apply color management best practices including correct CMYK build, Pantone spot color specification, and overprint settings for commercial print output
• Prepare print-ready packaging artwork files with correct bleeds, traps, barcode placement, regulatory text, and print-specific technical requirements
• Develop packaging design ranges across product line extensions ensuring visual coherence, range architecture, and shelf standout across the category
• Collaborate with print vendors and account managers on prepress sign-off, color proof approval, and final print production quality verification
• Research packaging design trends, category competitors, and retail shelf layouts to inform conceptual design directions for new packaging briefs

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.Des in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or Product Design with 0 to 4 years of packaging design experience at a design studio or print agency
• Portfolio demonstrating packaging design across FMCG or consumer product categories including primary, secondary, and label packaging formats
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator for constructing and working within structural dieline files from vendors with accurate color and type specifications
• Working knowledge of CMYK color management, Pantone spot color specification, and prepress technical requirements for commercial packaging print
• Familiarity with print production variables including overprinting, trapping, barcode resolution standards, and regulatory label text requirements
• Ability to develop design ranges across product line extensions that maintain visual system consistency while achieving shelf differentiation
• Basic understanding of packaging materials including carton board, flexible film, labels, and glass for informed design decision-making
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
