📋 Job Description

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Install domestic water supply systems using CPVC, GI, and UPVC piping as per MEP plumbing drawings.
• Lay HDPE underground piping for water supply, sewer, and drainage networks at construction sites.
• Fix sanitary fixtures including WCs, basins, urinals, shower trays, and taps with proper waste and vent connections.
• Carry out pressure testing of hot and cold water supply lines to verify leak-free installation.
• Route drain and vent lines from fixtures to vertical stacks and ensure correct gradient as per drawings.
• Coordinate with civil team for sleeve installation in slabs and walls before concreting activities.
• Maintain site installation records, material consumption logs, and daily progress reports for supervisor review.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• ITI in Plumbing or Sanitary Hardware Fitter trade from a recognised institution.
• 1 to 4 years of experience in commercial or residential MEP plumbing installation.
• Practical skill in CPVC solvent welding, GI threaded jointing, and HDPE butt fusion or electrofusion.
• Ability to read plumbing layout drawings and identify pipe sizes, fitting types, and fixture locations.
• Knowledge of proper gradient requirements for drain lines and vent pipe routing practices.
• Experience with water pressure testing and basic troubleshooting of leaks and drainage blockages.
• Awareness of NBC Part 9 plumbing provisions and standard health and safety practices on construction sites.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
