📌 Key Responsibilities

• Design domestic water supply systems including pipe sizing, pressure zone mapping, and pump selection.
• Carry out fire sprinkler hydraulic calculations using IS 15105 or NFPA 13 methods for commercial buildings.
• Prepare plumbing layout drawings, drainage and vent riser diagrams, and underground drainage plans.
• Design fire hydrant and fire hose reel systems as per NBC Part 4 and TAC requirements.
• Select fire pumps, jockey pumps, diesel pumps, and pressurisation units for fire fighting pump rooms.
• Prepare plumbing and fire fighting BOQ, specifications, and technical comparison for procurement.
• Review plumbing and fire fighting shop drawings submitted by contractors for design compliance.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised institution.
• 0 to 4 years of experience in plumbing and fire fighting system design for commercial or residential buildings.
• Knowledge of hydraulic calculations for water supply, drainage, and sprinkler system sizing.
• Familiarity with NBC Part 4 fire protection and Part 9 plumbing and drainage provisions.
• Understanding of TAC requirements for insurance-compliant fire fighting systems in commercial buildings.
• AutoCAD proficiency for preparing plumbing layout and riser drawings.
• Exposure to sprinkler design software or Hardy Cross method for sprinkler hydraulic balancing is an advantage.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
