📌 Key Responsibilities

• Lead the OBG department as professor and head of department
• Deliver advanced obstetrics and gynaecology lectures for MBBS and MD students
• Guide postgraduate OBG residents in research, case work, and dissertations
• Oversee departmental operations including labour room, OT, and outpatient scheduling
• Represent the department in NMC inspections, academic council, and university reviews
• Contribute to research and case publications in indexed journals
• Manage departmental faculty scheduling, appraisal, and development activities

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• MD or MS OBG from an NMC-recognised institution required
• NMC professor eligibility experience norms must be met
• Research publications in indexed obstetrics and gynaecology journals required
• Experience with high-risk obstetrics and gynaecological surgical procedures required
• Prior experience as associate professor or senior faculty in a teaching hospital required
• Postgraduate teaching and dissertation guidance experience required
• NMC registration and state medical council registration mandatory
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
