📋 Job Description

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Lead the MEP design team across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire fighting for large commercial projects.
• Manage the full MEP design cycle from concept through detailed design, shop drawing coordination, and as-built.
• Review and approve all MEP design outputs including load calculations, equipment selections, and drawings.
• Drive pre-bid and tender engineering including BOQ review, value engineering, and technical bid preparation.
• Present MEP design proposals and value engineering options to clients, consultants, and main contractors.
• Ensure all MEP designs comply with applicable codes including NBC, IS, ASHRAE, and ECBC standards.
• Mentor junior design engineers and draftsmen and build technical capability within the MEP design team.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; PG in HVAC, Building Services, or Project Management is preferred.
• 7 to 15 years of MEP design experience with at least 5 years in design lead or senior engineer roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in MEP design for large commercial, data centre, healthcare, or institutional projects.
• Proficiency in design software across HVAC (HAP, ETAP), electrical (ETAP, DIALux), and BIM (Revit MEP).
• Strong technical writing skills for preparing specifications, design criteria documents, and value engineering reports.
• Experience managing multi-discipline design coordination and resolving clashes across MEP systems.
• Track record of leading successful tender submissions and design presentations for large MEP projects.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
