📌 Key Responsibilities

• Teach Obstetrics and Gynecological (OBG) Nursing theory covering antenatal care, normal and complicated labour, postnatal care, newborn care, gynecological conditions, and reproductive health
• Supervise student postings in antenatal ward, labour room, postnatal ward, newborn care unit, and gynaecology ward of affiliated hospitals
• Conduct practical skill sessions on antenatal examination (fundal height, fetal heart monitoring), delivery preparation, and newborn assessment
• Teach midwifery skills including normal vaginal delivery assistance, episiotomy care, and cord care
• Guide students in preparation of obstetric nursing care plans and gynaecological case studies
• Set and evaluate internal assessments and university OBG nursing examination papers
• Coordinate with affiliated hospital obstetrics department for student clinical schedule management

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• M.Sc. Nursing with OBG (Obstetrics and Gynecological) Nursing speciality from an INC-recognized institution
• Active TNMC registration mandatory; midwifery registration preferred
• 2 - 8 Years of combined clinical obstetrics and nursing teaching experience
• Strong practical skills in antenatal examination, labour room nursing, delivery assistance, and newborn care
• Experience supervising students in labour room, antenatal ward, NICU, and gynecology OT postings
• BLS certification mandatory; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
• Knowledge of current national maternal health programmes: PMSMA, JSY, LaQshya, and SNCU guidelines
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
