📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for Associate Professor positions in Chennai private arts and science colleges. This role is with a self-financing arts and science college affiliated to the University of Madras or another recognized Tamil Nadu university, offering a stable academic career with NAAC-accredited quality standards and faculty development support.

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Teach postgraduate and advanced undergraduate courses in the subject with depth and current research perspective
• Guide PhD research scholars registered under the college or university department
• Publish research articles in UGC CARE-listed, Scopus, and SCI journals and contribute to funded research projects
• Serve on departmental committees including Board of Studies, Examination, and Research committees
• Mentor Assistant Professors and junior faculty in research methodology, publication, and teaching quality
• Contribute to NAAC self-study report preparation, accreditation visits, and internal quality assurance activities
• Represent the college at national conferences, seminars, and academic collaborative events

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Ph.D. in the relevant subject with UGC NET or SET qualification mandatory
• 8 - 16 Years of undergraduate or postgraduate teaching experience as per UGC Associate Professor eligibility
• Research publications in UGC CARE, Scopus, or SCI-indexed journals mandatory
• At least one sponsored research project from DST, DBT, CSIR, ICSSR, or similar funding agencies preferred
• PhD guidance experience (supervising or co-supervising research scholars) preferred
• API score computation and documentation for promotion as per UGC Regulations 2018
• Strong academic network in the subject for conference invitations, collaborative research, and journal reviewing
