📌 Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend APIs and microservices for e-commerce product catalog, cart, checkout, and order management modules
• Build integrations with payment gateways, courier APIs, marketplace data feeds, and third-party logistics providers
• Develop and maintain product search, filtering, and recommendation engine backend services for customer-facing storefronts
• Implement inventory management, pricing rule engines, and discount calculation services for the e-commerce platform
• Optimize database queries and caching strategies to support high-traffic events such as sales and festive promotions
• Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews to maintain platform code quality and reliability
• Monitor backend service performance, debug production issues, and implement fixes within defined SLA timelines for critical e-commerce operations

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or Electronics from a recognized institution
• 1 - 5 Years of backend development experience with Node.js or Python in a product or e-commerce environment
• Strong knowledge of REST API design, microservices architecture, and async processing patterns
• Proficiency in SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and NoSQL stores such as MongoDB or Redis
• Experience integrating third-party APIs including payment gateways, courier services, and marketplace data feeds
• Familiarity with AWS or GCP cloud services for deploying scalable e-commerce platform backend services
• Bonus: experience with search infrastructure such as Elasticsearch or Solr for product catalog search features
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
