📌 Key Responsibilities

• Operate POS billing terminals to scan items accurately and process customer transactions
• Handle cash, credit card, debit card, UPI, and digital wallet payments at checkout
• Issue printed and digital receipts and process valid discount coupons and loyalty points
• Reconcile cash drawer at the start and end of each shift in line with store policy
• Report billing system errors or price discrepancies to the supervisor immediately
• Maintain a clean and organised checkout counter to ensure a smooth customer experience
• Assist with express billing lanes during peak hours to reduce customer wait time

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• 10th or 12th pass from a recognised board
• Basic arithmetic and mental calculation skills for cash handling accuracy
• Familiarity with POS billing software or willingness to undergo in-house training
• Accuracy and attention to detail to avoid billing errors and cash shortages
• Ability to handle customer queries at the checkout counter politely
• Willingness to work in shifts including weekend and holiday shifts
• Prior cashiering experience in any retail or F&B outlet is an added advantage
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
