📌 Key Responsibilities

• Manage full P&L responsibility for an assigned department within the supermarket
• Set and drive daily and weekly sales targets for department team members
• Plan and manage staff rosters, shift schedules, and leave approvals for the department
• Oversee inventory levels, cycle counts, and shrinkage control measures for the department
• Ensure planogram compliance and visual merchandising standards across all department shelves
• Coordinate with procurement and vendors on department-specific product requirements and promotions
• Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions for department staff

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university; MBA is an advantage
• Three to eight years of supermarket or retail experience with at least two years in a supervisory role
• Demonstrated experience managing department-level P&L in a retail or supermarket environment
• Strong team management and rostering skills for a large frontline team
• Proficiency in retail ERP for inventory and sales reporting at the department level
• Good understanding of category management, shrinkage control, and planogram compliance
• Strong communication skills in Tamil and English for vendor and team coordination
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
