📌 Key Responsibilities

• Manage the fresh fruits, vegetables, and organic produce section of the store
• Assess incoming fresh produce quality at receiving dock and reject substandard stock
• Arrange and display fresh produce attractively to maximise visual appeal and sales
• Monitor temperature and cold storage conditions to maintain freshness standards
• Implement daily rotation of produce to minimise spoilage and wastage
• Track fresh produce shrinkage and wastage and report daily figures to the department head
• Assist customers in selecting produce and guide them on seasonal availability and pricing

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• 10th or 12th pass from a recognised board
• Hands-on experience in handling fresh fruits, vegetables, or perishable goods
• Ability to assess produce quality and freshness based on visual and tactile inspection
• Understanding of cold chain requirements and temperature-controlled storage basics
• Physical stamina for handling produce crates and standing for extended periods
• Basic knowledge of seasonal produce availability and pricing in Chennai markets
• Prior experience in a fresh produce section of a retail store is an advantage
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
