📌 Key Responsibilities

• Supervise road and pavement construction activities including sub-base, base course, and bituminous wearing course.
• Monitor storm water drain and underground drainage pipeline installation for geometry, bedding, and joint quality.
• Coordinate underground utility crossings for water, sewer, and electrical duct banks with respective agency teams.
• Read and interpret civil infrastructure drawings including plan and profile sheets and cross-section drawings.
• Prepare daily quantity measurements for roadwork, earthwork, and drainage structures for billing and progress.
• Coordinate with the QA laboratory for material testing including compaction, CBR, and concrete cube tests.
• Maintain site documents including measurement books, test reports, inspection records, and non-conformance reports.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution.
• 0 to 4 years of experience in road construction, storm drain, or civil infrastructure site supervision.
• Ability to read civil infrastructure drawings including road plan and profile, drainage layouts, and utility crossing details.
• Knowledge of IRC and IS code requirements for road construction and storm drain installations.
• Basic understanding of earthwork compaction, flexible pavement layer specifications, and concrete work.
• Proficiency in taking site measurements and maintaining measurement books for billing verification.
• Exposure to AutoCAD for basic drawing review and quantity estimation is an advantage.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
