📌 Key Responsibilities

• Grade loose and mounted diamonds using the 4C system covering cut, colour, clarity, and carat weight
• Use loupe and gemological microscope for inclusions, blemishes, and cut quality assessment
• Interpret and verify GIA, IGI, and other grading certificates against physical diamonds
• Sort and classify diamonds by quality parameters for inventory management and pricing
• Verify diamond quality on purchase receipts from suppliers against agreed grading specifications
• Prepare grading reports and quality certificates for showroom inventory as required
• Support customers in understanding diamond quality parameters and grading reports during purchase consultations

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• GIA Graduate Gemologist (GG) or GIA Diamonds certification from the Gemological Institute of America
• Zero to four years of practical diamond grading experience in a jewellery showroom or grading laboratory
• Proficiency in 4C diamond grading using loupe and gemological microscope
• Ability to read and cross-verify GIA, IGI, and HRD diamond grading certificates
• Basic knowledge of coloured gemstone identification including rubies, emeralds, and sapphires
• Attention to detail and precision in grading assessments to protect showroom from quality inconsistencies
• Good verbal communication in Tamil and English to explain grading to customers and purchase teams
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
