📌 Key Responsibilities

• Manage and appraise subject teachers through formal observation cycles and professional development planning
• Review and update subject curriculum guides, unit planners, and assessment policies annually
• Analyse departmental examination results and implement targeted improvement strategies
• Represent the department in whole-school academic leadership meetings and curriculum reviews
• Manage departmental budgets for resources, textbooks, laboratory supplies, and professional development
• Mentor early-career teachers and support induction of new staff joining the department

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• M.Ed. or postgraduate subject degree with extensive teaching experience in IB or Cambridge schools
• Minimum seven years of classroom teaching experience with at least two years in a curriculum leadership role
• Demonstrated ability to lead teacher appraisal, formal observations, and professional development cycles
• Strong analytical skills for reviewing examination data and implementing subject improvement plans
• Excellent written and verbal English for curriculum documentation and school leadership communication
