📌 Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook Indian, continental, and South Indian dishes for the hotel restaurant, breakfast buffet, and room service orders.
• Set up and maintain the assigned kitchen station with complete mise en place before each service period.
• Follow standardised recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistent food quality and cost targets.
• Produce breakfast items including eggs to order, hot breakfast dishes, and buffet setup for the morning service period.
• Assist the kitchen head in planning daily production requirements based on occupancy and reservation levels.
• Maintain food safety standards including temperature checks, FIFO stock rotation, and kitchen sanitation protocols.
• Minimise food waste through efficient preparation, proper storage, and utilisation of surplus ingredients.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma in Food Production or Hotel Management (Culinary) from an AICTE-approved or recognised vocational institute.
• 1 to 5 years of hotel or restaurant kitchen experience with demonstrated Indian and continental cooking skills.
• Ability to produce breakfast items, Indian curries, rice dishes, and basic continental preparations consistently.
• Knowledge of FSSAI food safety standards, kitchen hygiene practices, and cold chain management.
• Physical stamina to manage standing kitchen duties during full service periods.
• Willingness to work morning, split, and evening kitchen shifts as required by the hotel's food service operations.
• Basic Tamil communication for coordination with kitchen team members during service.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
