📌 Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance tasks for electrical systems, plumbing, air conditioning, and mechanical equipment daily.
• Respond to room maintenance requests from housekeeping and front office within the hotel's target response time.
• Repair and replace electrical fixtures, switches, bulbs, fan coil unit filters, and in-room equipment as required.
• Service split air conditioning units and fan coil units in guestrooms and common areas to maintain comfort levels.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs including tap and shower fittings, drainage unblocking, and flush valve replacement.
• Inspect and test fire alarm panels, emergency lighting, and generator sets as part of monthly safety checks.
• Record all maintenance tasks, spare part usage, and pending jobs in the maintenance log or work order system.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• ITI Certificate in Electrician, Plumber, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, or Fitter from a government-recognised ITI.
• 1 to 4 years of maintenance experience in a hotel, commercial building, or facility management company.
• Practical knowledge of electrical systems, split AC servicing, plumbing repairs, and general facility maintenance.
• Ability to respond quickly to guestroom maintenance requests and complete repairs with minimal room disruption.
• Knowledge of hotel fire safety systems, emergency lighting, and basic generator operation procedures.
• Tamil Nadu Electrical Board licence is an advantage for electrically focused maintenance technician roles.
• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and on rotating or on-call maintenance shifts.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
