Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for Physical Education Director positions in Chennai private arts and science colleges. This role is with a self-financing arts and science college affiliated to the University of Madras or another recognized Tamil Nadu university, offering a stable academic career with NAAC-accredited quality standards and faculty development support.

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement the college annual sports calendar including inter-department, inter-collegiate, and university-level competitions
• Oversee daily physical education classes, fitness training, yoga sessions, and sports practice for all students
• Supervise sports coaches and manage sports facilities including courts, grounds, and equipment
• Organize and manage the college sports day, annual athletic meet, and sports award ceremony
• Represent the college at university sports committee meetings and inter-collegiate tournament organizer meetings
• Coordinate with the NSS and NCC wings on physical and social welfare activities
• Maintain sports records, achievement documentation, and NAAC physical education criterion documentation

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• M.P.Ed. (Master of Physical Education) or M.P.E. from a recognized university
• UGC NET / SET for Physical Education (Paper I + Paper III) preferred
• 3 - 10 Years of college or university physical education experience
• Strong administrative and leadership skills for sports department management
• Experience organizing inter-collegiate tournaments and managing sports infrastructure
• Achievement in sports at national, state, or university level is a strong advantage
• NSNIS Diploma in Coaching or NIS certification in a specific sport preferred
