📌 Key Responsibilities
- Coach students in one or more sports disciplines for inter-collegiate and university-level tournaments
- Conduct daily sports training sessions, fitness drills, and skill development programmes for student athletes
- Organize and manage college-level sports events, inter-departmental tournaments, and sports day activities
- Identify talented student athletes and support their participation in university and district-level competitions
- Maintain sports equipment inventory and ensure proper care and storage of sports materials
- Prepare students for Anna University / University of Madras inter-collegiate sports meets
- Coordinate with the Physical Education Director on sports programming and student welfare
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- B.P.Ed. (Bachelor of Physical Education), M.P.Ed., or DPEd from a recognized institution
- 1 - 5 Years of sports coaching experience at a school or college level
- Specialization in at least one major sport: cricket, football, volleyball, kabaddi, athletics, or basketball
- Good understanding of sports fitness training, injury prevention, and sports psychology
- Experience organizing inter-collegiate tournaments and sports day events preferred
- Sports achievement at district, state, or national level is an added advantage
- Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority (TNSDA) or SAI certification preferred
